A lot of people have problems with oily skin and ask me what products to use. I had chronic cystic acne for many years and still have to really take care of my skin every night and every morning or I will continue to have break outs. When you have acne, it is very hard to find products that can cover well without causing more breakouts, or that will not look heavy and cakey on your skin.

I created a foundation years ago that is oil free, doesn’t cause breakouts, and you can layer it for coverage. The cool thing about this makeup is that it also can be used as a concealer, and finishes to a soft, dewy look. It also contains natural sun protection via titanium dioxide.  Having sun protection is always important, but especially so when you are using aggressive products to get rid of the acne.

Life can get a little crazy. We all have our excuses for why we haven’t done this or that. I have mine. I had a 9lb 6oz. baby on May 12th. He keeps me up at night. It is a big adjustment, in more ways than one. MegaBaby, as I refer to him is now almost 20 pounds and never likes to be put down. But he is absolutely gorgeous, and I am madly in love with him, as I am with my other mess, my nine year old comedian/athlete of a son. So I have two boys and a full time business that has been busy, busy, busy. These are blessings, and I am so very thankful, but they do take up my time, and boys will make you get a frowny wrinkle or two in the middle of your forehead. They are to blame, I am sure of it. They are also to blame for my deep smile lines around my big mouth.

What I am trying to say is that I got out of the habit, momentarily of doing the simple things that I can do to improve my skin’s appearance, and it really got the best of my skin right away. I was looking my age. And I don’t like that at all. I have a young husband, (who is crazy and thinks I am gorgeous) and most of all, I have my vanity. I don’t want to ever, ever grow old or age. I just refuse.

Okay, the other two steps I added to my routine are kind of shocking because I cannot believe that I stopped doing them in the first place.  It is my business to look good and be a good example, and I kind of fell off for a while. I blame the babies, but there can be no excuses for such stupidity, really. Do you know what is really cool? When things come together. Sometimes, life takes you on a wild journey, but it is the treasures that you find along the way that make life just so rich. Beauty Boot Camp w Florida Panthers Ice Dancers

Today I woke up, got the babies fed, and ran over to one of my favorite places in the world, The Academy of Glam in Cooper City Florida. Why is this one of my favorite places, you ask? Well, let’s start with the fact that it is owned and operated by a woman who is truly a goddess. Victoria Duke is a celebrity makeup artist who has had quite an illustrious career. She has worked with so many big names and is one of the most sought after makeup artists and experts in her field. She also happens to be a dear, dear friend, and an inspiration to anyone who meets her. She’s also a totally funny, fun, and down to earth person, and she totally gets me and my wackiness. I feel like I am with a truly magical, and positive soul whenever I am around her, and so do her students. The Academy of Glam is where she teaches women and men from all over the country the tricks of this beauty trade and gets them prepared for their lives as makeup wizards. ( makeup wizards hehe )  It’s a makeup artistry academy and also an Artistry Studio where anyone can get beyoootifed from true experts. I would highly,highly recommend AOG for anyone needing makeup, brows, or a cosmetic education.

So, today at the AOG, (Academy of Glam) I was invited to speak to the Florida Panthers Ice Dancers and get them their own Jennifer Bradley prescription for flawless skin. It was so much fun to be around such gorgeous and talented girls. I got to consult with each of the girls and get them on a super easy, and custom fit regimen for skin perfection. Afterward, the girls were seen by Victoria and her dream team of artists to learn how to apply makeup like the professional artists.

Today was a good day. And yes, they put the Jennifer Bradley on the skin.
